The food is good (pancakes are particularly good), people are friendly, and the place is ok. But it took 50 MINUTES to serve 3 std breakfasts. The manager did apologize with us but still the time was unbelievable.

Shannon's has been in business for years. They finally put up a new building and what a beauty! There's not enough words to describe their awesome food. You definitely need to visit for yourself, especially if you like smothered chicken with dressing, rice with beef tips, smothered pork chops, chicken fried steak, greens, cornbread, and plenty of sides for your meal. Down home cooking. Chicken Fried steak was good. Beef tips were tender and delicious. Great baked chicken and stuffing.

1st let me say I am always a big supporter of Mom & Pop places, but this place seemed like "Mom has left the bldg." 😞. I felt robbed. Guess I went on the wrong day. Not many side choices and what they did have had No flavor, those greens could use some ham hocks "for sure", hell at least some bacon. The cat fish was Good, I will give you that, but Damn!! Must have sliced 1 fillet in 3 pieces and you call that a serving, WTH, robbed, just robbed 😡😠😡 I would never waist my time with this place Ever again. Ms. Thelma's in Houston in 3rs ward would be so ashamed of this place.

This has always been my mother's favorite eating spot& i love the fact that they remember her and how she likes her food to be fixed. They remember her by name and if i ever pick up food for her from here, They always know exactly what she wants& how she wants it. Nice portions, nice prices, always clean& quite cozy

We loved the food. We are new to area and wanted something homestyle. You just. Ant go wrong here.The cook had done her job and was working the register for lunch and was a little put out in a fun humor about it.

Ok, didn't realize it was cafeteria style, not sit down and order from a menu. The service wasn't that friendly. Chicken fried steak was decent, would have been a lot better had it been fresh I'm sure. Mac and cheese was basic big noodle mac and cheese you find anywhere. Mashed potatoes were runny, but didn't seem like butter or milk had been added to them. Cornbread muffin was rather dense. With a sweet tea, total was $11.65. It's not terrible, but still not a place I will be returning to.

Wonderful breakfast and super nice staff. If you want to feel like you're eating at home with friends this is the place. Fried chicken is just like mom's, and so juicy. Eggs and ham were perfect!! Can't go wrong with anything you order.

They have wonderful service and the food is phenomenal. This is the first place I’ve eaten at in Bryan/College Station that’s made me clean my plate. The staff is very friendly, which makes the comfort food all the better!

If you haven't eaten at Shannon's, then you're missing out. Delicious home cooked meals. The grits are perfectly seasoned and buttered. Quality bacon and sausage. Overall a great experience.
